COURSE OBJECTIVES

1.      To introduce students to various poems from different genres.

2.      To introduce students to the different writing techniques used in writing poetry.

3.      To allow students to be able to understand the basic dimensions of poetry.

4.      To conjure up ideas, styles and ways of putting various words together to form a poem.

5.      To provide students with a portfolio of their own poems.
